for the education of everyone
...amidst news of natural and manmade disasters in Japan... and revolution or civil war in North Africa... i separate myself from existing failed solutions to global-local problems in order to write stories of imaginary ways of living in which effective solutions are possible... in and beyond human life as it always was and as it can be...
...the new aim of this is to cease attempting the failed solutions that come of hierarchy and specialisation while retreating firmly to whatever can come of new unorganisation (or anarkia-self-organised)...
...the first step being to extend the fictional reality of decentral and all those new developments of i+e... !!!
i.e. a widened definition of designing... and a revival of 'the education of everyone'... and other parts and peaces of i+e... via gradual extension of our digital diaries (or blogs) and social networks...
...for a start: to extend industrial design from professional responsibility for the aesthetic and ergonomic improvement of product design to a public responsibility for...
...no no no says the collective heart... we feel at ease to speak our mind in words of fewer syllables... this is not excuse for more abstraction or inhumanity... but a moment for re-seeing design as the work of everyone affected by it... not as academic research or professional pride... but as a way of sharing and becoming the public imagination... as in seeing hearing speaking breathing walking etc... the immense and complex unconscious skills... of everyone...
...the unspecialised actions that comprise the joys and sorrows of existence... treading gently now on all our lives and dreams and horrors soon to be remade as the new unnameables of life... stop here for breath and right use of self... itself in question...
