city forest
...soon after arriving here the jeep-like vehicle drives by almost silently and and does not stop (to collect rubbish or for any other reason)... again it's driven by woman in green...
...bluebells are growing in centre of this noh space... after brambles were cut down... but now they are quickly re-growing...
...three determined walkers go by... dressed in black and grey... and an oldish man is lecturing a young one on the other seat in this space...
...the air is still but not the fragments of fluffy vegetation that sail in the air about me... driven by a slight breeze that is not otherwise detectable... the talking man (who is short) and the talked at man (who is tall) depart and the new oak seat where they sat awaits its next occupant...
...shall i name the seats with their dramatic function (as are ritual locations on the noh stage)... yes please says imagined voice or mind of the writer... shall i call it the talking seat... and this one is already named as the seat of the mothers
fond memories of our mothers - gertie and billy they loved kenwood michael renate miriam jacqui
...yes... and as i write that i see a man sitting on the talking seat with a woman who is embracing him and resting her head on his shoulder... (they don't talk but kiss)...
...i realise that there are noh plays being enacted here all the time and only the text and continuity is missing...
...so: the writer's role is to provide or provoke that... it's partly written by the changing events that happen here for instance the butterfly that crossed the space... and now it does so again...
...the large pines call for names that vary with the play.. for instance two fathers (of michael at pine 1, of renate and miriam at tree 2 and jacqui tree 3... (given such characters and placings as are already named by anyone accepting the writer's role
...'i don't care what anyone says' says a short lively woman passing by 'it depends on who tells you the novel'...
...(at which noh stage switches to venue of novel (of novels)... yes anything can happen but only what accepts both the conventions of noh as well as the accidents of who comes and goes here not realising that they are inspiring and performing this play... and in my case the priority of enacting softopia in parts...
...the man and woman vanish... and the stage is empty of all but insects and the ritual seats and the tree locations linked to the absent mothers and their grown-up children...
...the writer pauses now for fear of inauthentic jumps... and to see what happens if he continues walking while the play of a royal wedding proceeds elsewhere... according to another ritual or convention
