15 november 2011 falling leaves

heath extension

...about to walk away when the air is filled with falling leaves so i decide to stay to write this... and anything that may follow...

...now suddenly there are about 15 dogs of all sizes on the grass before me accompanied by four people one or two of whom may be teaching the others to control the dogs for they seem amazingly obedient... keeping close to the people when called and nearly all sitting down together...

...i've learnt recently that dogs, being pack animals, will obey anyone who is willing to dominate continuously... but, if someone refuses to be leader, the dog will take the lead and will try to dominate the human... and then it will become disobient or hostile or disturbed if anyone tries to regain control...

...how does this relate to my theory of creative democracy... falling leaves and obedient dogs... do they call me to rewrite my tree of connected ideas... to seek a rearrangement that encompasses these seeming exceptions?...

...while walking a narrow path beside the seven ponds i stop to observe the nearly complete stillness of the water surface... in which are reflected the bare branches of a tall tree across the water... this image of inverted tree shimmers slightly in the presence of small movements of the air... as a gentle east wind is slowed to nearly zero by the surrounding vegetation before it slightly disturbs the water surface...

...two metres above the water some of the remaining leaves of a lime tree flutter occasionally without falling... but for most of the time they are still...

...the indescribable complexity of rushes and branches and leaves (on the ground and above) just exists here without resistance... or obedience... for these vegetable forms seem to respond to the presence of each other without command or obedience or any such crudity...
