to those who read these words
...visiting the hill garden theatre in time to see a squirrel walk southwards and a crow walk northwards... before a man announces that the hill garden will be closed in a few minutes... (at which i accidentally deleted most of this paragraph)...
...so i now i sit outside the garden to rewrite this first entry of 2013 in fading sun and freezing cold air beneath a pale blue sky against which nearly every branch and twig of an over-hanging tree is silhouetted...
...but already my fingers are getting too cold for comfort so i walk again to see what else may happen on this tuesday afternoon... on planet earth... as it is called on planet earth...
...and now back in heated rooms i lie beneath a winter quilt to rethink these words... and later to apply randomly selected colours to these paragraphs...
...with good wishes for the new year as we call it (though beyond our journeys round the sun it doesn't exist)...
