1 april 2015 outdoor cafe
...weather changing from sunny morning to cloudy afternoon... pigeons
turning and turning (in what i suppose is a mating dance) as they also
fight over crumbs on the terrace... now a crow arrives and flies from
chairback to chairback... and the mating pair do the same... getting
nearer to each other at each attempted contact... and i wonder if
observation of animal dances and human will eventually reveal any
spiritual difference between them?...
...i suspect that most theological theories will not withstand
scientific evidence... but physical evidence of humanity by itself seems
to be invalid if one admits that physical existence is a convincing
interpretation of illusionary particles with abstract names such as
molecule or atom... or assemblies of particles with names like cell or
organism or even human being... which last is supposed to be oneself or
anyone... not [supposed to be] an objective thing but the [actual]
presence of an observer...
...i suspect also that this attempt at a theory of evidence is itself
inaccurate or mistaken... perhaps because of my insufficient
acquaintance with theories of a self that is the source of the theory...
...at which two people leave the next table and the crow and the mating
pigeons immediately fly onto nearby chairbacks and table... seeking crumbs
(while continuing the mating dance) and i lose altogether the thought or
perception that these creatures and ourselves are only assemblies of
cells and particles etc and not 'animals' or 'people'... or even
'interpretations'...
quite pleased with this writing i go to get a cake to eat after the soup
i ate earlier... and while inside the indoor part of the cafe was served
by a man from Romania and a woman from Spain...
...and as i wrote that a robin (whom i may have met here before) came
hunting crumbs near my feet...
...and then i walked to a bus stop... beneath clouds and sunny
intervals... and when home slept for several hours...
