12 may 2017 cool cloudy day
... a cool cloudy day with stretches of cumulus clouds all over the sky (apart
from sunny intervals)... and little wind... and on earth a series of
dogs with their owners... one has a sling with which to throw a ball to
be caught and retrieved by an enthusiastic Alsatian...
...a magpie glides on to the grass... where it walks about with jerking
motion of its head at each step...
...suddenly i am sitting in sunlight as a man with mobile phone nods and
smiles... as he walks briskly by (as if knowing exactly where he is
going?)...
...i sit here in no hurry to walk further... as i await whatever
thoughts arise in this place and moment...
....looking west i see pieces of vegetation fallen from the tree above
and landing on the seat beside me... on which are also growths of
moss... and a large white excretion (of a crow or magpie?)... and for the
moment there are no people, dogs or children...
...but while i wrote that four adults with dogs appeared on the mown
field before me.....
...another magpie walks close and then turns and walks away...
