catching up with reality
when i see this word 'reality' used in this way . . . more as fiction
than as fact . . . a smile creeps over me . . . as the very serious
truth of medical reality is interpreted by doctors and nurses and
everyone else . . . as the interpretation of illness of various kinds
takes on an absolute quality or truth . . . when in fact we all know
that the greater truth is that of art and fiction not science . . .
although both are necessary in view of the dual nature of human life . .
.
. . . this can come as a bit of a shock to all of us in relation to their teachers, doctors, professors, theologians and playful, philosophical artists such as Marcel Duchamp and Picasso and all such people . . .
. . . there have to be discontinuities between self and Self * . . . but
also a profound intention to unite the dualism which destroys . . . that
is a truth beyond all fictions . . . is that it?
* i dont know what this distinction means, but i like it
