speaking writing came about through realising that speech comes from the
mouth and is received by the ear . . . whereas writing comes from the
hand and the eye and also gadgets as pencils typewriters computers and
all such gadgetry . . .
these separated things are united in the use of unifying machines and
devices from which arises all this discussion . . . i am wondering now
if there is something quite magical in these separations and unifications . . .
i think indeed there is . . . as it is present in printing and computing
as two avenues of connection . . . where as the voice and the hearing
are all together more separated as are musical instruments . . . as are
in the unifying nature . . . da da da . . .
i have a feeling now that what we are hearing and thinking is more
profound . . . even if these are words and texts and books and all such
signals . . . which they leave me thinking that i am dabbling in
something that i dont understand . . . by the continuation of this
speaking there is a departure from reason and meaning towards the zones
of the imagination . . .
there is also an approach to formality and power . . . and the example
of Marshal Mc Luhan in his theory of media and his slogan 'the medium is
the message' . . .
it did connect in rather outstanding ways . . . and now
trying to make some sense and music altogether . . .
